This step area chart maker (with dates functionality) allows you to create simple and complex step area charts that provide a visual representation of your data with filled regions under the step lines.
Simple Instructions
The easiest way to create the chart is just to input your x values into the X Values box below and the corresponding y values into the Y Values box. Then scroll to the bottom of the page, and hit 'Create Chart'.
If your x values are dates, then you need to select the X-Axis is Datetime option, and specify your input and output format (e.g., MM-DD-YY).
Options
You can choose a number of options for your step area chart, including its title and axes labels, fill opacity, whether you are plotting dates, line of best fit, and moving average. You'll be offered further editing options after the tool has generated the chart.
